Welcome to Seva Sadhna ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, use, disclose, and protect your personal data when you use our Platform and associated Services.

This Privacy Policy is in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, including the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

Introduction

Seva Sadhna is a digital spiritual services platform providing VIP Darshan booking, Prasad Delivery, Guru Consultations, and Palmistry & Astrology readings to devotees across India. In providing these Services, we necessarily collect certain personal information from our Users.

This policy explains clearly what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and protected, and what rights you have over your personal data. We encourage you to read this policy carefully before using our Services.

By using Seva Sadhna, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Platform immediately.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all users who access or use the Seva Sadhna Platform, including our website, mobile application, and all related Services. It covers personal data collected:

  • During account registration and profile creation.
  • When making a VIP Darshan booking or Prasad Delivery order.
  • When submitting details for a Guru Consultation or palmistry reading.
  • Through your general use and navigation of the Platform.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that may be linked from our Platform. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.

Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum personal data necessary to deliver our Services. This principle of data minimisation is central to our privacy approach.

3.1 Account & Identity Data
  • Full name
  • Phone number and/or email address
  • Gender
  • Date, time, and place of birth (required for astrological and palmistry services)
3.2 Booking & Transaction Data
  • Delivery address for Prasad orders
  • Temple preferences for VIP Darshan bookings
  • Transaction reference numbers and payment status (we do not store card or banking details)
  • Booking history and service usage records
3.3 Consultation Data
  • Palm images uploaded by the User for palmistry readings
  • Questions and information shared voluntarily during Guru consultations
  • Session duration and consultation notes (where applicable)
3.4 Technical & Usage Data
  • Device type, operating system, and browser information
  • IP address and approximate location (city level)
  • Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Platform
  • App crash reports and diagnostic data
We do not collect biometric data, health or medical records, financial account details, Aadhaar numbers, or any other sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above and necessary for our Services.

Purpose of Data Collection

We use your personal data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To process VIP Darshan bookings, Prasad orders, Guru consultation sessions, and palmistry or astrology reports.
  • Personalisation: To generate personalised astrological charts, birth horoscopes, and tailored spiritual content based on your birth details.
  • Communication: To send booking confirmations, order updates, session reminders, and important service notifications.
  • Payments: To facilitate and verify transactions through our payment gateway partners.
  • Platform Improvement: To analyse usage patterns, identify technical issues, and improve the quality and performance of our Services.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from government or regulatory authorities.
  • Safety & Security: To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security threats on the Platform.
We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties for any commercial purpose.

Legal Basis for Processing

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, the legal basis for processing your personal data is your explicit and informed consent, which is obtained at the time you register on the Platform or submit your data for a specific Service.

In addition to consent, we may process certain data on the basis of:

  • Contractual necessity: To fulfil a booking or order you have placed with us.
  • Legal obligation: Where we are required to process or retain data under applicable Indian law.
  • Legitimate interest: For Platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where such interests are not overridden by your privacy rights.

Consent & Withdrawal

You provide consent when you create an account, input your data, or proceed with a booking or consultation on the Platform.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at support@sevasadhna.com. Upon withdrawal:

  • We will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, unless retention is required for compliance with legal obligations.
  • Your account will be deactivated and any pending bookings will be cancelled.
  • Refunds for cancelled bookings upon consent withdrawal will follow the standard refund policy in our Terms & Conditions.
Please note that withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to continue providing Services to you, as some data is necessary for service delivery.

Data Storage & Retention

Your personal data is stored securely on encrypted servers located in India. We do not routinely transfer data outside India (see Section 13 for cross-border transfer details).

We retain your personal data for as long as:

  • Your account is active and you continue to use the Platform.
  • It is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy.
  • It is required under applicable law (e.g., financial transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian tax law).

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to any individual.

We implement industry-standard and legally required security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include:

  • End-to-end encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256).

No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data using best practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

  • Service Partners: We share necessary data with temple partners (for VIP Darshan), logistics providers (for Prasad Delivery), and payment gateway providers solely to fulfil your order. All such partners are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Guru Consultants: The Guru you consult with will have access to the personal data you share during or before the session (e.g., name, birth details) solely for the purpose of delivering the consultation.
  • Infrastructure Providers: We use trusted cloud hosting and analytics providers in India. All providers are bound by data protection obligations consistent with Indian law.
  • Legal Requirement: We may disclose your data if required by law, a court order, or a request from a competent government or regulatory authority.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring of Seva Sadhna, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to equivalent data protection obligations.

Your Rights Under Indian Law

As per the DPDP Act, 2023 and the IT Rules, 2011, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data held by Seva Sadhna:

  • Right to Access: Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction: Request correction or updating of any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for processing at any time (subject to limitations described in Section 6).
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion or anonymisation of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: Lodge a complaint with our designated Grievance Officer (see Section 14).
  • Right to Nominate: Under the DPDP Act, you may nominate an individual to exercise your data rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

Children's Privacy

Our Platform and Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal data to Seva Sadhna without your consent, please contact us immediately at support@sevasadhna.com. We will promptly delete such data upon verification.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our Platform uses minimal, necessary cookies and similar technologies to ensure proper functioning. Specifically:

  • Session cookies: Used to maintain your login session while you use the Platform. These are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Preference cookies: Used to remember your language and display preferences.
  • Analytics: We use anonymised usage analytics to understand how Users interact with the Platform and improve our Services. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any tracking technology for commercial profiling or targeted advertising.

You may disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features on the Platform.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

We do not ordinarily transfer your personal data outside India. In rare cases where cross-border transfer is necessary (for example, where a cloud infrastructure provider has servers in multiple countries), we ensure:

  • The transfer is carried out under data processing agreements that provide equivalent data protection standards as required under Indian law.
  • The receiving entity is bound by contractual obligations to protect your data in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023.
  • You are notified of any such transfer at the time of data collection where technically feasible.

We may modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, data practices, or applicable law. The date of the most recent revision will always be displayed at the top of this page.

Material changes will be notified via in-app alerts or email to registered Users. Your continued use of the Platform after such updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the updated policy, please discontinue use and contact us to request deletion of your data.
